5. B2B Marketing & Business Contact Data

In addition to the information described in section 2, we collect and process business contact data for the purpose of relevant B2B marketing and business development. This section explains what we collect, where it comes from, and how we use it.

a. What We Collect

Business contact data such as name, job title or role, employer/company name, work email address and, where available, work phone number.

b. Where It Comes From

We source this data from publicly available information, including company websites, Companies House, LinkedIn and other public professional profiles, and from reputable B2B business-data providers (such as Prospeo). We do not obtain business contact data from data brokers dealing in consumer or personal data.

c. Our Lawful Basis

We rely on legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) to carry out relevant B2B marketing to corporate bodies. We have assessed that this processing is necessary and proportionate, and that it does not override your rights and freedoms – you always retain the right to object, described below.

d. Who We Contact

In line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), unsolicited marketing by email or phone under this basis is limited to corporate bodies – limited companies, LLPs and other corporate entities. We do not send unsolicited marketing to sole traders, ordinary partnerships, or personal/individual email addresses without your prior consent.

e. Your Right to Object

You can object to this processing, or ask us to stop contacting you, at any time – simply reply “no” or “unsubscribe” to any message, or email support@gt-net.co.uk. We will action this promptly and without requiring justification.

f. Suppression List

Where you opt out or object, we add your details to an internal suppression list so that we do not contact you again for marketing purposes. We retain the minimum data necessary on this list solely to honour your opt-out.

g. Retention and Review

We retain business contact data only for as long as it remains relevant for B2B marketing purposes, and we periodically review and refresh our source lists to remove contacts who are no longer relevant, no longer employed in the role, or who have opted out.

h. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent or trade business contact data to any third party.

6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. However, we may share your information with:

• Trusted service providers (e.g., hosting, analytics, CRM)
• Legal or regulatory authorities, when required
• Business partners, if relevant to your enquiry or services
